Lauren is feeding well, so we are very proud of her. She is such a quiet baby (so far), only crying when we change her shirt. Momma says she is "just a little doll."
Ryan is still in NICU, but is making good improvement. The doctor changed the formula they were feeding him to a different brand and that seems to be helping quite a bit. He has not had any major spit ups in the last few feedings, however, he's still battling some reflux issues, and getting him to eat all of his required dosage is still a tough job.
Nina got to hold little Ryan today for the first time, so that was a really sweet moment for both of them. We are only allowed to hold Ryan while he is being fed or right after his feeding is complete, otherwise they want him to be still and sleep. Before today, Ryan and Lauren were on the exact same feeding schedule, which made it difficult if not impossible for us to get down there in time to hold him. However, today we bumped up Lauren's feeding schedule by 30 minutes so that would give us enough time to get down to the NICU just in time to hold Ryan after the nurse had fed him. And even better, starting on Thursday, the nurse wants us to start feeding him during the first 15 minutes of each feeding session so we can practice working with him to eat. He will be much more difficult to feed than Lauren, so please pray that all goes well and we get the hang of it.
Here are some more pics from today.
