Ryan and Lauren are on a strict feeding schedule (every three hours) to ensure they gain weight, and praise God they have! Ryan left the hospital last week at 5lbs. 4oz. and is up to 5lbs. 13 oz. Lauren left the hospital at 4lbs. 7oz. and is now up to 5lbs. 1oz. We are so grateful for God's hand in this. Thank you for your prayers.
We also praise God that at Lauren's two week doctor's appointment yesterday, the doctor didn't hear a heart murmur! He said it has likely closed up.
Since our last post, Ryan and Lauren have lost their umbilical cords and received their first bath.
As for temperaments, Ryan seems to be pretty laid back, while Lauren knows exactly what she wants and will let you know! We can't wait to see more of their personalities as time goes on.
Nina's mother, Yvonne, has been helping this week which has been great. She has mastered the art of feeding Lauren, which is no small task. Thank you abuelita!
Paul went back to work Monday, so please pray that he'll be able to get enough rest to sustain him through the day. He continues to give of himself and is a wonderful father to Ryan and Lauren.
Nina is recovering well from the surgery and loves being a mom.
Thank you all for your prayers. Here are additional ways you can pray:
- Pray that Ryan and Lauren will continue to eat more and gain weight.
- Pray for Paul and Nina's physical strength and health.
- Pray for wisdom as Paul and Nina are learning the ins and outs of being parents.
Hopefully there will be less time between this post and the next...

Please keep the updates coming!! I love seeing your precious ones!
What pretty babies! We need to all our B-35 kiddos together sometime soon. Maybe when we are a little less sleep deprived. Hmm... when will that be??? Maybe by 2009... :)
they are precious...that's the word that comes to my mind every time I hear you write about them or see pics of them.
Do you think I might be able to see them sometime early this week? We'll actually be in your town!!
