We had chili with the fixings, chips and queso, fruit salad and pb&j for the kids. My Mom was so sweet to make goody bags for the kids in attendance.
Since R&L love books we decided to do a book theme. The cake had a reproduction of a 50's Jack and Jill bookcover and their smashcakes were Little Bo Peep and Humpty Dumpty. My neighbor made them and did a great job. They were made from scratch and you could definitely tell! Ryan and Lauren weren't too into their cake as you can tell below.
They've LOVED playing with all their new toys. Papa and Grandmother (Paul's parents) got R&L a wagon and that's been a big hit. They seem to enjoy the freedom of riding in the wagon (even though they're still buckled in). We've taken it on walks around the neighborhood and to the park. Since they love riding in the wagon it's been motivating for me to take them out.
Ryan and Lauren thank all of you who were able to come make their birthday even more special by your presence. We love you!
